| Doesn't bark? I've had Brutus for two months now and he hardly ever barks. Sometimes if I get him really excited he'll run around the family room at high speed and bark at me but that's about it. I don't want a yappy dog but he's soooo quiet! Even when the doorbell rings, nothing. What's that about?

| Oh Carolyn, count your blessings. Maggie can wake up from a coma, if she even hears a bug poot.

| Lacey is 10 months old and just starting barking at times, which I am sure she learned from Chloe. Before that, she was quiet as a mouse. |

| Ollie is the same way. He is 15mo old and he never barks unless he is playing with our pug Roscoe. Be glad. My aunts Yorkies are always barking. Lucky us

| You are super lucky! Rocky barks and if you tell him "NO" he thinks it is a challenge to see who can be the loudest ! Eventually, he gives in or he has to have time out...he hates time out! |

| We're the lucky ones! Chewy rarely barks either. When he does, the 3 of us just stop in our tracks and stare at him in wonder, LOL |

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | Sounds exactly like our Sailor, she didn't bark for the longest time...while Magic loves to bark and will at anything...but as she has gotten older she has started barking more, like she is hungry or wants to be held and recently when she wants to played with...I would say give it time, but be careful to encourage it, we did with Magic and now she never stops..just remember to watch out what you wish for!!!

| Asia did not bark at first, but she does now. I blame my maintence man here at work. She loves when he comes in because he always plays with her. He started to tease her by not coming and seeing her first, so she started barking at him to get his attention. Now she barks at anybody that does not come a say hi to her. I have to put her in time out sometimes just to take care of a customer. I keep telling her that not everyone one wants to meet her, but she looks at me like "I'm to cute, of course everybody wants to meet me" |
