| I can shed a little light. Admin is a guy who is 27 and lives in Seattle, Washington with his dog, Yoda, and his gf. His username on here is Fasteddie. I think he started YT about a year ago, but I am not sure of the exact date. Some of the old timers can tell you more. Last edited by fasteddie; 03-12-2006 at 12:43 AM. |

| Yes, it was started by Yoda's Mommy and myself because we couldn't find much good information about Yorkies at the time, we wanted to learn more, we wanted to help other Yorkie owners, and there were no popular Yorkie forums then. We have had Yoda just over three years now. |

| You have done a wonderful job. I am so happy to have found YT. Being a new Yorkie Mom, I would have never made it through the first couple of months without the help of YT.

| Thanks This forum is really the best. I am a first time doggie mommy and this site has really helped me. I originally thought that dogs were like cats - woa imagine my surprise. But I really have learned alot from the other Yorkie owners. Thanks for helping all Yorkie mommies and daddies. I'm sure our vets appreciate your help also since without this forum we'd always be calling them. Dan do you think you can ever own a different type of doggie? | I've found Yorkie lovers are a breed unto themselves! When we got our first dog over a dozen years ago, my husband and I were amazed at what we called the "doggie subculture" that was out there. All these years and 3 dogs later we have our first Yorkie, and let me tell you this is a subculture within a subculture! Now he teases me because everytime he needs the computer, I'm reading and learning something new on YT. As much as I love all of my furbabies, I don't recall any of them stealing my heart in quite the way that Dublin has. I don't know if it is because I've always wanted a Yorkie or that he seems to need me more, but there certainly is a special bond. Many thanks to you, Dan & Yoda's Momma, for making it happen, and to all of you for your infinite wisdom and willingness to share it!

| You all are quite welcome. The whole purpose of this site is to educate and help a fellow Yorkie parent. We've made many great friends, laughed at funny stories and pictures, and shed tears at the sad passings. To tell the truth, I do not know if we could have another breed of dog in our household. Yoda is just so special, as is every single Yorkie out there. |

| I've never met a group of people so willing to share all of their expertise. I have a friend who was recently having trouble potty training her Shi Tzu. I heard her asking another mother at pickup about what she did and the woman just looked at her and said, "It's far too complicated for me to explain to you" Can you believe that. I said to her, I'll tell you how and the next day we met and talked for about 2 hours and she took notes! like a class! Why the first woman couldn't help her I'll never know. I can't imagine anyone on YT brushing someone off like that who was looking for help. This is a very special place. BTW her pup is coming along nicely and actually doing a good potty job. |

| I know when I bought my First Yorkie(named Natica) back in 1985( I know I am dating myself lol), there wasn't much out there for Yorkie owners. I raised her by trial and error, and I must have done ok b/c she lived for 17.5 years! So, when she passed away, there was a huge void and decided to get a Smooth Fox Terrier(named Isabella...short Bella). Soon realized, I had to get another Yorkie, which I finally did last week. His name...General Patton. So, as a newby to this forum, I just wanted to take the time to thank you. I also want to be a donating member, but not right now, due to all the expenses involved. But I definitely plan to do so. Where do the proceeds go, and who to contact? Thanks again, ~Bella, General Patton, & Maria~ Last edited by fasteddie; 03-12-2006 at 12:44 AM. |
