| Hairy Ears As you can see by Jack's avitar he has long hair growing from the tops of his ears. Yorkies that I see do not have any hair on the top of the ear. Do they have it trimmed, or, is Jack a little odd ball. I love it, and only have it trimmed, as in the picture from my birthday thread. Unfortunatly he moved a lot and it is a bit uneven. He also has wavy hair, which I don't ever see. I know his ancestry so there are no (questions) in the wood pile.

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | Your baby is very cute! There are in fact ALOT of Yorkies with hair on their ears like this My Yorkie Stedman has hair on his ears (I like it that way and don't shave them) - however, it's not quite as long as your baby's. I personally love how this looks and call it "Butterfly Ears" LOL Alot of Yorkie owners shave the tips of their Yorkie's ears (this is also what they do in the show ring). I do shave the tips of my Yorkie Tatum's ears because I do prefer this look on her (I just happen to like it on her better than the longer ear hair). It's really all just a matter of personal preference I think your boy looks absolutely adorable, ears included! P.S. - You mentioned that he has a "wavy" coat - what is his coats texture? How does it feel? If his coat is "wavy" - he may just have what is called a Cotton coat

| The tips of the ears are usually shaved although some people prefer to leave the hair long.

His coat is very soft and silky, I keep it about 2" long most of the time, he never tangles so it is very easy to take care of. I am glad he is not a (odd ball). I just have never seen a Yorkie with the same ear hair as his. A couple of people have even asked me if he was part pappilion. Thank you for the reasurance.

| My groomer always tips ears, too. Sometimes Yorkies get so much hair on the ears that that don't stand up. By trimming them, it helps them stand up better. ( I know that when Shelby & Seymour were little this helped tremendously because their hair grew so much)

| Cody has hair on his ears.. his hair hasn't grown long enough to cover over the ear. everyone has been calling him peacock feather ears and Dumbo and radar ears... and frankly i'm about ready to go off on people. i'm tired of them picking on my baby. |

| Aw...his ears aren't that big...I have seen much bigger. He's really cute. The hair on his ears does look feathery but in a cute way.

| Lacy's hair takes forever to grow. When I got her, her breeder had completely shaved her ears to try to make them stand up...not just the tips but the whole ear! She didn't have any hair on her ears forever...I didn't think it was ever going to grow. And it made her ears look so big... But she finally does have hair on her ears LOL

Cody is adorable. Jack's hair doesn't stop his ears from standing up, they almost look like pony tails. Don't let those people get to you, I always just tell them that he has something special.
