Default Raising two puppies at once?

Has anyone done this??... I found a little girl who I'll be getting but her sister will be alone and I'll feel so bad if I don't take her. I've read a lot of sites that says they won't form their own personalities and they'll be two parts of a whole instead of individuals.. The breeder is very, very nice and she is offering a great price if I take both (she is in no way pushing me to take them). They're getting a little older and she wants them in homes soon which is why she offered. I have the room, the money, and everything but my main concern is, will they grow up to be two different dogs? Will I end up bonding more to one than the other? Thanks for any help..

......either way you go will be great and I only see "pros" no cons to both scenarios..........I had one yorkie for 8 yrs and we went everywhere together......it was so easy to travel w her and I could put her in a carrier wherever we went and noone knew she was there......now I have two more and they are the same age....they play together nonstop all day every day and although I interact a lot w all of them it is fun knowing they have each other and can burn off all that energy without me....now I still take the first yorkie everywhere and the other two along also depending on where we go.....so I guess it's what works best for you and your lifestyle....as far as bonding w one or the other.....I never let things like this be an issue....before I got the other two everyone said oh but she's 8 yrs old she will be jealous, etc.....you just have to work w them and it ends up benefiting all of them....my yorkie needed to lose a pound and when I got the other two she lost it in 3 months...........also I was getting a kitten and at the last minute worried about her being alone in the beginning when I was at work so I ended up getting another and was so happy I did...........sorry this is so long but just go w your heart and YOU will work everything out....but don't think you have to take the other out of guilt....I'm sure she will find her a good home also!!!

I have 2 boys(brothers). We picked up Barney and 2 weeks later went back and got Bennie. Breeder called to see how we were doing and mentioned the other was still there due to no fault of his. I had wanted both of them but hubby said no. Well, after "talking" to him for the rest of the nite he said ok. But I was worried too. Would they not want to bond with me since they have each other. What if I liked one better than the other? etc.

Both boys adore me. lol...They have such differ personalities. One day, one is more affectionate and another day, the other is. One is a leader and the other is a lover.

They have each other to play with if we have to go somewhere and are unable to take them with us.

I love them equally. But yes, there are days, I like one better than the other and vise versa. But at the end of the day, they are my little babies and I love them both. I could not imagine not having them both.

In fact, we are in the process of getting a little girl to add to the family.

Go for it! It's a win, win for all cancerned. They will be great company for each other and you. Sure they both will have their own personalities and preferences but they are adorable and will provide unconditional love and entertainment to boot. Good luck .
