| So my yorkies are spoiled am I wrong Ok I need feed back please. I have zip and Benji which I love. They are spoiled they can jump on me any time and on my furniture. Benji demands me at time to pet him rub his tummy which I do If HE REALLY BEING A PEST i WILL SAY STOP AND HE WILL WHEN i SHOW THAT i MEAN IT. We just bought a Doberman. Zip loves him but plays with him when he close to me becauses he is only 3 pds. Benji cold care less he was like that at first with zip and now plays with zip. Well we started puppy trainning for Zeus the dobe. The trainer said I should train the yorkie not to jump on me or furniture with out permission. She said if you dont want Zeus to then not a good example and never feed dogs in the kitchen which I do. They have their food there all day . She said we need to feed Zeus in his crate and then take him out to potty. She said he should be fed in his crate 2 times a day and in there only 20 minutes. Now she believe in feeding dogs all dogs only raw meat not dog food. She claims dog foood is bad for dogs. What do you think about that. She thinks that I should keep them separated for a while that zeus will learn the rules and be focused on us . Feed back pleases. |

| Wow, you really have a lot on your plate. I hope someone here can give you educated advice. I have never had a situation like this; but I can at least give you my thoughts. I'm not sure how you would have different rules for the yorkies and the dobe without creating competition between them, and that could be dangerous for the yorkies as the dobe grows. How much do you enjoy having the yorkies jump on the furniture, and do all their silliness right now? Most of us treat these little guys different than we would other dogs. The training the dobe to the crate until he is housebroken is a good idea; but, I would not keep them seperated all the time for the jealousy reason, also dogs seem to help train each other. I know you will get it done, and I hope you get help here, there is always someone willing to give advice. Congrads on the dobe, they are really nice dogs.

| Aren't dobermans atleast 50 pounds? If they are then I would NOT separate them. The dobe needs to learn how to treat the Yorkies while it is small and can't hurt them. As for dog food being bad, I think a lot of it is. That doesn't mean that it all is. I don't agree with raw feeding though. There are people that do it and that is great for them but it is just not for me. I like homecooked. If you want to feed dog food, I would feed dog food. You really can't have two sets of rules for the different dogs though. If the small ones can jump on you, the big ones needs to be allowed also.

| Hold old is your doberman pup? I would have one set of rules for all the dogs. After all a big dog won't understand that the yorkies can jump up because they are small when he isn't allowed. We have the same rules for Daisy as we do for the yorkies and malts. Otherwise you are just going to cause confusion and jealousy. As for keeping them separated, I would not do it. The dobe needs to learn to be around the yorkies and how to act around them. I also think you should feed the doberman puppy around the yorkies. Keep a very close eye on the doberman pup and try feeding them all in one bowl. This way the pups learns to share the food and doesn't become food aggressive. But only do this under close supervision. And make sure you mess with the food as well so the dog won't have food aggression towards you. As for the raw diet, it is all a matter of opinion. I personally don't feed a raw diet but I have nothing against it. As long as you have your dog on a high quality food then you shouldn't have to worry about it.
