| maggie's leg she has been doing sooooooooooooooooo good. but the last 2 days, I have noticed her lifting it up a lot. (the one that she broke a few months back). I sit and play with it to see if it is hurting her and it isn't...but why is she suddenly not using it much? I'm worried about her. I am going to call the vet when they open. The last few days, she refuses to jump off the couch. she just sits at the edge barking if she wants down. So I was thinking maybe she hurt it jumping off the couch or something but if she hurt it, wouldn't she indicate some kind of pain when I am messing with it??? I worry so much about her. I was so happy that she seemed to be doing so good...now i'm back to worrying again

| She wouldn't necessarily indicate pain, other than refusing to use it. Poor little darling and poor Mommy too! Take her to the vet when you can and keep us updated, in the meantime i'm hoping for the best and sending prayers to both you and Maggie!

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | oh poor Maggie, maybe she's just scared! Or maybe it hurts when she put weight over it, like when she jumps off the sofa or walk; even if you play with it, maybe you're not applying enough pressure so it doesn't hurt her then. I would go to the vet just to be sure, and I know you will; but try not to worry too much yet, maybe it's just nothing. |

Therapy Dog Donating Member | We'll say a little prayer for Maggie - I would take her in just to be on the safe side. As others as posted - you might not be putting enough pressure on her (I'd be like that too) leg as you don't want to hurt her. That's why I never became a nurse...lol.

| I took her by the vet and they said she appears to be fine. He said maybe the muscles are still weak and where she has been using it a lot lately, maybe her leg is just tired. I'll just keep a close eye on it. thanks for the prayers everyone

| I hope Maggie is feeling better. Isn't it so frustrating that she can't just tell you what is wrong? I hate going to the vet because it is like a guessing game for the most part. My daughter is at the Dr w/ hubby getting her arm x-rayed right now. She broke it almost 2 yrs ago and it just started hurting again. I guess with a break it is never really the same again.

Donating YT 11K Club Member | I hope Maggie feels better, poor girl Could it be that she just wants you to lift her up and off the couch, bed just because? I'm just asking cause London is very spoiled and she can jump off her chair but just because she is a diva she will bark at me to pick her up and off it, so maybe Maggie is doing the same, just a thought. Or maybe her leg really does hurt, but i hope not cause im hoping it gets better and not worse

| That's what I was thinking. I broke my foot one time, and it took a long time to regain the strength back, and it would ache a little bit. Maybe it still feels weak so she's nursing it a little bit. It's probably a good thing she's doing that, now that you know that nothing is wrong. She's smart, she's taking it easy!
