Donating Yorkie Yakker | Vacation? How does everyone go on a vacation? We have Skippy-3yr old 18 pound sweetheart that hates being in a cage at the groomers'...he has free reign of the house when we leave, if we pet him in a kennel for any amount of time, I'm afraid he will go nuts! What do others do?! |

| You might try a doggie daycare...they play with other dogs and people all day, and many offer overnight boarding too.

| I vacation 3-4 times a year and my mom watches them. They enjoy going there. It's a lot more of a hassle (she lives about 5 hours away), but it's worth it. |

| Is there someone around there you trust that could come over and let him out and feed him? My sister usually gets someone to come and let hers out that she feels comfortable with, we haven't gone anywhere, but, when we do I will board mine out, as they have a big xpen that mine could all share. |

| Our dogs have their grandpa and grandma babysit them if we leave. Although I have seen a lot of places that offer babysitting in your home. They come over a few times..let them out..fed them..walk them and play. I worry about people in my home though. Our vet also offers doggie day care with overnight care. That I think would be the best IF we ever needed it. They get all of the same as above, but it's at the vet just in case anything happened.

| We went to Myrtle Beach for 5 days when Ollie was only 4 1/2 months old. My 19 year old son (who still lives with me but works full time and is never ever home) let him sleep with him and then out in the morning and night and then my neighbor whose little girl is in love with him came every day and took him to her house for 3 - 4 hours. I was a wreck about leaving him and had lists and lists of do's and don'ts ---moved tons of his stuff to the neighbors....plus drove everyone nuts with calling. It was hard for me to leave him since i am quite a worrier so next time we are taking him with us!!! Anyway i am in Ohio-- Tipp City - which is about 10 minutes from the Vandalia airport---maybe i could help??? Ollie is 11 pounds and very social. |
