| Groomer's Christmas Gift?? Ideas?? I just read the thread about tipping a groomer.... and yes, I think they should be!!!....... I also try to buy a Christmas gift for her (actually there are 2 of them that I buy for) and every year it gets more difficult!! What are you getting (or have gotten) for your groomer for Christmas???? My groomer also sells supplies for dogs, so it is kinda hard to find something that she needs for her dog. Last year I bought a candle and got a gift certificate to a local pizza place. I know that sometimes they work late in the evening and thought that it was a good idea. BUT now I need an idea for THIS Christmas!! Help!!

| My groomers has 5 dogs, all sizes but I gave her a GC for the pet store so she could get toys and what ever needed.

| I would probably not give dog related stuff. She probably gets tons of that. I know my mom who is a preschool teacher always gets tons of teacher related stuff for holidays. some of the more unique things she has gotten that she liked: Homemade goodies- she LOVES homemade goodies and usually gets enough to put out for christmas eve dinner that she doesn't have to make any. Gift certificates- esp to places that are more expensive that the person might not normally go to. I know mom usually gets one or two to places like Long Horn, which is not a place we go on a normal basis (cause we're cheap! ) Bath and body works GC are also great cause what woman doesn't love smelly lotions?

| ^^^Bath and Body works GC are GREAT!!! I used to get cards with REALLY nice tips, I got gift cards, I got plain cards. But, I agree that a gift certificate to something out of the ordinary: like a day spa, or a manicure & pedicure would be nice. I know I would have loved that!

| A gift card would be best, they don't take up much room and they can pick out what they want. Depending on who your groomer is (older, younger, single, married, etc.), and how well you know your groomer it can range from a restaurant, spa, target, to Victoria's Secret. |

| Ok.... it will be a gift card.....(probably to a restaurant... or to Cracker Barrell where it can be used in the gift shop, too).... Now for a little something personal to go with it...... I don't think that she would really like "smellies". Thanks for your suggestions! I do a BUNCH of Christmas shopping and if I get my ideas and write them down, I don't have to run around like nutcase before the holidays. What do you think would be a better personal gift.... homemade turtles OR a warm pair of knitted gloves??

| I put a check in a Christmas card equivalent to the cost of 1 groom. My mom used to own a dog boutique and spa and her groomers' favorite gifts were cash and checks by far. I guess it's more of a Christmas tip than a gift.

Therapy Dog Donating Member | These are great suggestions but what if your groomer is a guy? Besides gift cards what could you possibly give a guy groomer?
