I am so surprised how many Yorkie owners that I run into that have never heard of YT!!!!! I always go on & on about how wonderful YT is but I can only recall one person that actually became a member (that I know of).
Tonight my DH was out and ran into someone with two Yorkies.....he immediately said, "are you a member on YT?" lol....I have him trained well!!!!! They had never heard of YT.....that is the response that I always get.
Just wondering if you guys are always spreading the word like me?!?!?
I even tell people that don't have Yorkies!!!! lol

I talk about YT a lot LOL. I think I've told a few people with yorkies about YT.

I tell everyone too because I love you guys!!! Even people that dont own yorkies or pets at all...I ramble on about how great it is here!

I tell everyone about YT! I was just at Pet Supply Plus tonight with my yorkies. My dogs were pampered while we there by everyone. First time I have ever taken them there (they are over 3 yrs). I told people that I currently have puppies available and all about them because they were asking all about my dogs. I also suggested checking out YT for information and good breeders if they weren't interested in mine. I also give out the web address to my new puppy owners as part of the care package.

I love YT!

When I spend so much time here - how can I help but tell people about all my friends & their beautiful yorkies. My friends & family hear about the stories of loss & the ones i'm praying for & the prayers answered & all the miracles on YT!!

Last weekend, when we had the Central Iowa Yorkie Meetup - we had mostly people come who saw fliers we posted in every store, Panera, credit union, etc. with a bulletin board or they saw the announcement we had running in several calendar listings in local newspapers.

Several of those people have now joined YT!!!

Also, in preparation for our meetup, I had the YT business cards that are a sticky printed out on cardstock & gave those to folks at the meetup. I had enough made, that Suzy & I both could have extras to carry around & hand out. I think these are a wonderful tool.

I think you have to be a special person or have it in you to join and be a part of this wonderful family. It's hard to explain - my friends all love their doggies and take great care of them but have no interest in joining a forum. Oh well - my gain - their loss. So my husband and son get to listen to all my YT stories and of course all of you.

When I was looking aruond Yahoo Answers a few people have asked about yorkies and I have told them to come here.. Most of them had just got a yorkie and knew nothing about them!

I do alot of fairs and festivals with my business and the girls go just about everywhere with us. If i see someone out with their yorkie I always try to get away to see their furbaby and chat with them to see if they are already a member since I haven't found anybody on here that is very close. But people just look @ me like I'm from another planet when I tell them about YT and to my knowledge nobody has joined that I have told. So I have had the sticky cards printed up and plan on giving those out next year.

I talk about YT alot with my friends and family and people I see in the stores.. And when i have cody dressed in clothes and bows I say i got them from the great members of yt didnt they do a great job!!! I have a friend from the UK that joined !! I love YT!!! it's the best.

I tell everyone about YT. It's such a great place with great information and a way for those of us who love their Yorkies (and other pets) so much to share that with others who feel the same way. For me, it's sort of like a "treat" to see so many people who enjoy playing with and dressing and interacting with their dogs in a more "human" way. I've learned so much here and found so many wonderfully talented people since I've been here. I feel like it's totally enriched my life and I like to share that with others when I can. But there's lots of people who aren't as isolated as I am I think and don't get into internet "relationships" at all. Like you say....our gain; their loss.

Educate yourself and buy from reputable breeders or rescue.
