| Breeding Hello everyone. I am new to this site and think it is wonderful. We have a female Yorkie (Spice of Life VIII). She is 13 months old. Friends of ours obtained a 2 month old male Yorkie from this breeder and we only just discovered this. We would very much like to breed our two dogs, but of course not until the male is much older. Waht is an appropriate age for a male Yorkie to begin thinking about putting him out to stud? Thank you, |

| age Welcome to YT...spend the next year reading this forum, attend some dog shows, meet breeders, learn all you can and prepare yourself to bring a litter of quality, healthy pups into world...believe me there are people screwing up the breed as it is...best wishes |

| After 2 years of age. By then, if their are any hereditary (genetic) problems with either dog, they should have been diagnosed by then. I suggest you find a mentor if you're interested in breeding
