| Britney gets spayed tomorrow! Britney is getting spayed tomorrow. I have been dreading it ever since I made the appointment but I'll be glad when it's over. I know she'll feel so miserable afterwards and I just hope everything goes well. Her blood work came back normal so I'm sure everything will be fine. The vet said she doesn't normal prescribe pain meds. Is there over the counter stuff I can give her if I need to? I'd appreciate any and all good vibes, thoughts, and prayers. |

| no fun...atleast it will be over with by tomorrow night. Please insist on pain meds. It is abdominal surgery and it is very painful. The one shot in the hospital is not enough. I don't understand why some vets don't give it. It is really sad. Some pain meds can also make your girl sleepy thereby limiting her movement.

| She will be fine!! Try to relax. Tessa just got spayed yesterday....I wanted to cancel so many times...but she is perfectly fine. I was worried bc she is only 2 and 1/2 lbs....but she did awesome and today is almost back to her regular happy self. I haven't given her any pain meds today...I am very happy she did so well. |

| I agree on getting the pain meds. Sometimes you have to demand them. Best of luck

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | ALL good thoughts coming your way!!!! Unless your vet is open after hours, I'd demand pain meds. before I left - bc I ended up in an ER w/ Wylie after his neuter. Just me, though. Just like every person reacts differently to pain, so does each pupster. Let us know how she does!

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | Awww Kyle, I will be saying a prayer for Britney tomorrow I just know that everything is going to go well with her spay Oh and also...my vet normally doesn't ever prescribe pain meds afterwords either, however, I simply TOLD HIM that I wanted some lol....and he gave them to me with no questions asked Of course it was extra $$ - but I didn't mind. I just wanted to make sure that my baby was pain free I'm sure if you asked your vet to prescribe her some for you to have on hand JUST INCASE...he/she wouldn't mind doing it Please update us tomorrow and let us know how she does! Big hugs to sweet little Britney!

| Our vet said Gizmo wouldn't need pain meds either. When we asked about them, they said he was doing fine and wouldn't need them. However, when we got home he started whimpering. It was close to 5 on a Friday, so I called back. Vet tech started to give me a speil, so I said, "Okay, you listen to him then!" and put the phone to Gizmo. He wimpered again and I asked her what she would do. LOL...she said to come in for pain meds. (By the way...he only needed that one dose.) Prayers and good wishes for your little girl tomorrow.

| Tilly got spayed about a month ago and she did great. She was sleepy once I picked her up, but the next day she was back to her normal self. I'm sure Britney will be the same. Try hard not to worry, I know easier said than done. I was extremely nervous with Tilly. I had to keep busy until time to call for her. I ended up calling early.
