| Morky I have a chance to adopt a female Morky. Was wondering who all has one on this site? They are asking 4400.00 for her shes 6 months old. any info on Morkys ? wanted to add My first Yorkie mix was a Yorky/ malt is that the same as a Morky? The one I had was a rescue at 5 weeks and had been stepped on and was never normal, but oh so sweet. Last edited by YorkieShadow; 10-08-2007 at 01:01 PM. |

| Morkie = yorkie/maltese so you are correct. Do you mean the adoption fee is $440.00 not $4400.00 The adoption fee is within reason, it all really depends if they needed extra medical attention which would explain the higher cost. There are a few on YT with morkies, along with other yorkie mixes. From all the morkies I have seen, they all vary in size and color but are still great dogs. |

| I've only heard good things about them. Never a bad word. They're really pretty babies, so if the fee is reasonable and you and your household is ready for one, go for it! Be sure to send pics!

| Teddy is a maltese/yorkie mix, but holy cow! $4400 is that a typo? If it is $400 not $4400 I say go for it!! My first dog that my family got when I was 8 was my yorkie Chelsea and she was the best dog ever, but Teddy, my mix, is so easy going, he loves everyone, and is a total love bug. I was torn between maltese and yorkies when I was looking for a new baby, and I have to say I don't regret getting a mix at all - I know there are some strong opinions on mixes, but I think Teddy is great, but I'm probably more than a little biased Last edited by Too Cute Teddy; 10-08-2007 at 01:25 PM. |

The man who's selling her is a collage student and says he just does not have time for her and wants her to have a good home with someone that has time for her. I wanted a female Yorky not now but later on in a few years. and also was looking for a yorky for my mom. but Then I found out about this little girl needing a home so im thinking about it. | |

| I'm sure she's adorable. Good luck with your decision. I've been searching rescues for a male yorkie and I've seen a lot of morkies. I was wondering if they shed? I can't wait to see pictures.

| Neither Maltese nor Yorkies shed, so shedding isn't a problem with the mix either. The only thing with Teddy is he has more of a Maltese coat and it is cottony and can mat easily if it is not combed daily, but I keep him short so that isn't a problem - he is a real fluff ball! His hair makes him look wide from the side haha, but some mixes will take after the yorkie more than the maltese so you just never know! |

| Now do Morkies get bigger than yorkies?? I was just wondering. I have been also looking at rescues for special needs yorkies. I figured Babybear might like someone more like himself(not being able to walk right) and I have seen one or two morkies. Oh don't tell my hubby i have been looking lol he would kill me.
