| How much did you pay for your Yorkie? I have been looking at a lot of posts and classifieds and Yorkies are not cheap dogs? What did you guys pay for your Yorkie? I paid $400 for Mia. What is the average price for a Yorkie? Just curious. |

| Jeremiah was a gift too. If I would have paid regular price I would have paid 1500 or 1200 and but the breeder cut the price so he was 550...luckily

| $400, wow that is great! We paid $900, which we thought was pretty good. A few of the breeders we spoke with were about $1500 and the petshop was $2600. |

| I don't think my husband overpaid for Cookie but everyone else says we're crazy! He was over $2,000 . I say we didnt overpay only because after having him in our family we love him soooooo much that I would have paid twice that price! Mimi was cheaper ,I think she was around $1,100 or $1,200 Genie |

| I agree that I would have paid more too! Zeus was the last one in his litter and their was another person that offered us $3000 for him, and I said no way! There isn't enough $$ in the world to amount to his worth!!

| Under $1000.00 what a deal. Josie was $1450.00 plus $250.00 air flight. Worth every penny (I do it again in a heart beat)

| We were lucky enough to find a healthy, happy yorkie who just turned 2 at a humane society so we only paid $125 for her, complete with shots, neutered, and free health insurance for a month. I feel like we missed out on her puppyhood a little bit, but she also did not require as much supervision or training as a puppy which is nice. If you don't mind an adult dog, you might want to consider looking at shelters and rescues, although you should beware that they can come with some behavioral and health problems. Also, any small dog, especially a purebred, is rare at shelters. I searched every shelter in Wisconsin online every day for a few months before they got Lucky in. They had posted her on their website and had 25 calls on her within the first half hour before they even opened. My husband and I took off of work immediately to go meet her and adopt her. Fortunately, we were the first ones there and the shelter really wanted us to have her. We were very lucky. Ironically, she came with the name "Lucky." |

| Another Rescue I just adopted my girl 2 months ago when she was 6 months old. I donated $200 for her. I am a volunteer and foster so I had some "inside" connections at the shelter so I was really lucky. |
