| yorkielovebug Two days ago a breeder friends, breeder friend (can you follow this lol) has a litter of 4 pups her kids let the mommy out to do her business she ran into the street and was killed. The friend called my friend (Helen) knowing she had a 3 week old litter asking if she would let her use her momma, she said absolutely! Her mommy took over as if they had always been hers and the babies are continuing to thrive and have the nurturing they so need at this age. Its wonderful when breeders come to the plate to help out others in trying times, thinking of nothing except the welfare of these precious babies. BTW the breeder that took over the rearing has just become a new member "yorkielovebug"

| puppies How sad..but glad to hear the puppies are doing well. I had a Yorkie named Ivy who nursed a litter for her sister Peach when she had eclampsia. The litters were 3 weeks apart. I weaned Ivy's 3 pups who were 5 weeks and she took Peach's 6 babies...loved them all. Ivy retired afterwards and is a doted on pet now. |

| Poor Ivy! Lucky to retire after that crew! That must have been a lot of work for you, too - Pat! How many pups does Helen's baby have, with or without the other 4?

| yorkielovebug Hi I am Yorkielovebug, and so happy to be a member of. I love talking about our yorkie family. The mommy that took the 4 babies, had 2 of her own, but she is real happy now to have 6, I think she wanted a bigger family to begin with. The babies are happy to have a mommy also. It make me so happy to see them doing so well. Thank You so much, Helen |

| yorkielovebug I am so happy to become a member of yorkietalk, as you can tell I love talking about my babies, they are so precious, we just love them to death. I have a friend Kimberly, that has been a great help to me, its funny, how you can become such great friend's when it comes to yorkies. They are our world, and it makes my day to see them so happy. and playing, they are so grateful. The mommy that adopted the 4 babies had 2 of her own. So she has 6 now and seems to be real happy, with her big family, course it means a lot more feed and vitamins and lot's of tender care. But we'll pull thr. this , orwith no problem. yorkielovebug |
