| New to Yorkie.com This is the first time in Yorkie.com. I am in Florida, recently lost my poodle of 15 years. Just starting to think about another dog. So am just now starting my research for a yorkie. All of my children are grown, so will have the time to devote to a sweet dog. Would like any help on the search for a good breeder. thanks, Sandie |

| Welcome! Sorry you lost your poodle. When I got my first Yorkie over 15 years ago, I asked the best dog trainer about buying a small dog. My requirements were portability, intelligence and personality. She had huge dogs -- a Bouvier de Flandres and a Giant Schnauzer, each one both a field and show multi-champion and wasn't a great fan of wee doggies. Without drawing a breath, she said, "A Yorkie fits perfectly." She was so-o-o right! Just get one from good stock. Please keep up posted. |
