| You might be able to... But just be aware that most places will fine you if they catch you. And some neighbors will tell the landlord if they hear her. At least, that's been my experience. |

| dogs If she isn't a barker you can get away with it. My daughter, Jodi lived in a no dog condo for over two years with Katherine..but Katherine never barked. K's daughter, Charlotte does not bark and I could get away with it if I had to..best wishes |

| I know exactly how you feel! My boyfriend and I had a cat when we were looking for apartments. I was hell-bent on getting a yorkie and would only consider apartments that allowed dogs, much less our cat. We seriously looked for probably 4 months until we lucked out with our apartment. Most people wouldn't even allow a cat. This angers me so much, because the bad pet owners ruin it for the rest of us. I am a very responsible pet owner and take good care of my home, but there's always those people that would just assume let the dog or cat go to the bathroom on the floor than make the effort to potty train or take them outside to go. My boyfriend and I still laugh about this one... we called about an apartment above a pet store. The man that owned the pet store owned the building. The first words out of his mouth were "no pets!" [followed by "no smoking, no drugs, no parties, no frequent visitors". Not that I smoke or do drugs, but I think he wanted us to pay the rent, but actually live elsewhere!] No pets above a pet store! I get the biggest kick out of that one! Was he afraid of the noise?! We didn't actually want that apartment, but thought whomever owned it would surely allow pets. Assume nothing, I guess!! Keep the faith- something will come up. We lucked out- when I had had it with the whole apartment searching we got the most amazing apartment for far cheaper than most of the apartments we'd looked at. Good luck! |

| You better get crackin'. You might consider using an Apartment Finder service, we have those here in Dallas. Otherwise, grab the phone book and newspaper and just start calling. I wouldn't recommend you sneak her in! I adopted a dog once from the complex where I lived. She barked all the time (how I came to own her.) The manager called me in constantly, she was very nice. She kept telling me I needed to get a nice house with a yard for Buffy. I freaked everytime she ran to the window. My next apartment, I made sure to put a pet deposit to avoid the problems (I had a dog and a cat by then). Soon the manager informed me that no BIRDS were allowed (I had gotten a parakeet). To much bad karma - IF they find out, it is such a hassle. Luckily now, we do have a house with a nice yard. Of course this is 20 years later.

| I currently live in an apartment that doesn't allow dogs..shhh...but the minute I got Coco I began looking for pet friendly apartments. I'm moving next month into an apartment that not only allows dogs ($750 deposit ), but they have a dog park on the apartment premises. It's worth the look. I think it's probably easier to find dog friendly apartments in rural areas, as opposed to the city. Plus sometimes it will help if you take your baby with you, so they can see that the dog is small and quiet. Try www.rent.com If you sign a lease with an apartment you found on there, they send you $100. Cool, more stuff for our furbabies..hehe

| I don't know if this will help or not...but I found this for you. I typed in pet allowed as a must in the seach field...so all of these should allow them. But I don't know what your price range is. http://www.sublet.com/spider/LEAreas...ed=No&pets=Yes Good luck. I know how hard that is. We've had a similar problem. |
