| What is a Biewer Yorkie? Why is it a Yorkie if it doesn't comply with the... AKC standard of Blue/tan or black/gold? I'm sorry if this is posted somewhere-- I tried looking and I didn't find anything about it. Are they a combo breed like a puggle or morkie? I am confuddled! |

| I think there is some debate on if they originated from pure yorkie lines or if there was a mix in there a long time ago. Biewers are parti-colored yorkies that originated in Germany. They are their own breed with their own standard and own club and registry. Parti-yorkies however are still registered as yorkies by the AKC but are considered a faulted color and will be disqualified if shown.

| Here is a good link to read the history of the Biewer. I am in no way endorsing this site and know nothing about it, it's just a good place to read about them. http://eastlandkennels.com/history_o...wer_yorkie.htm

| If you're getting one get a Biewer. They are so loving and so laid back. I love mine, but then I love all my kids.

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | There is information and history on my website as well as many pictures. There are several genetic tests being developed that may finally answer the question: Just what exactly is a Biewer. Stay tuned. |

| I just love the look of Biewers. Just wish the price wasn't so high or I'd get one to add to my family. Right now having 3 little one's is quite costly.
