| Very Sad I"m very sad.... I had to drop Teddy off for neutering this morning and I can't pick him up until tomorrow night It was tough coming home from work without him running to the door to greet me. Plus, he looked so sad and scared when I dropped him off this morning, like I was deserting him or something. I don't think I'll get much sleep tonight without him sleeping on my head. On a happy note, he came through the surgery with flying colors, even having two baby teeth pulled because his adult teeth were growing in next to them. (the vet said he pulled them so hopefully Teddy wont need braces when he gets older ) Does anyone have a dog with braces???? I guess I just have separation anxiety. I miss him terribly |

| Awww...we just went through that with Gizmo. He had his neuter and five baby teeth removed. Luckily, we were able to bring him home that same night. I had to laugh at the comment you made about him sleeping on your head. LOL! Gizmo does that too, and it makes me laugh! Hugs to you and I'm very glad to hear that the surgery went well.

| I am so sorry to hear that. I hate leaving them at the vet. You just feel like you are missing something the entire time. What did we do with out these babies? But whatever it is I don't want it to be that way again. So not worth it. So what to do tonight......Why don't you have a nice dinner, take a bath and just spoil yourself. And as soon as you know it he will be back in your arms giving you tons of kisses. Just two balls lighter. HEHE

| THanks - its great to have support from people who understand, my husband just thinks I'm insane. He loves Teddy but "he's just a dog" to him. ( I think secretly he feels the same way I do, but it would threaten his manhood to admit it). (Love the comment about two balls lighter) |

| Awwww......most of us have been there. I know he will be soooo happy to get home. When do you get to pick him up? I dropped Mojo off at 9am when he got done and got to pick him up that afternoon...I think around 1pm. Course, the vet knows how I am and trusted him coming home early....she even offered for me to be in the room while it was being done....I should have done it. Anyway, these little guys are a lot tougher than we think...course, that doesn't stop us from babying them!!!!

| I can pick him up tomorrow after 10am. They have a policy that all animals for neutering stay over night for observation. I guess thats good because they know better what to do if something is wrong than I do but it doesn't make it any easier |

| Braces? I think your vet was pulling your leg. I hope Teddy is home tonight and feeling better. I'm glad it's over for both of you. |

| LOL, I am sure somewhere out there, there is a dog with braces. If people are willing to spend money on it, I am sure that someone is going to be there to collect it. If you could only imagine. Okay when I was looking for a picture there was information on dogs with braces. It is so true. LOL

| Sorry it took me so long to get back - Teddy's home now, he's great. He's been kind of "clingy" on me until today which is why I haven't been able to answer anyones wonderful posts, he wouldn't let me do anything but pay attention to him and since I felt so guilty leaving him there, I complied. He's not supposed to play or run for a week imagine that!!! but we are trying to keep him as calm as possible, and he is NOT happy about it. He keeps bringing me his toys to play fetch and tug of war and he doesn't understand why I won't play along. Hope he doesn't hate me when this week is over!!! AS far as the braces - when I picked teddy up the vet told me about this again. Apparently, there is a specialist doggy dentist in my area (about 2 hours from me) who does doggy braces and all kinds of corrective things to dogs teeth. I can't imagine what it would cost, but he definitely wasn't pulling my leg. Again, thanks everyone for the support and understanding.
