| Microchipping How much does it usually cost to microchip? Hubby and I are thinking about getting Tilly done and we had no clue how much it costs.

| For Lacy I paid a total of $25 ($10 for the chip and $15 to register her with AVID). I had her chipped at a low-cost chipping thing that a rescue group was doing at Petco. For My cat, I paid $30 for the chip and then $24 to register her with Home Again. I had her chipped at her vet.

| At times Dog Shows will stage microchipping at the cost of about $20.00, not including the registration. Having it done at the Vet's is considerably more expensive.

| I paid $50-60 at the vet for one dog, but had the other microchipped at a rescue league event for $30. Well worth it! Check in your area to see when the next microchip clinic will be, and have it done then!

| I paid $15.00 for each chip..I had all four of my babies done. I am so glad I did as Davie got out one night and a neighbor 2 streets down that doesn't know us took her to a vet that scanned her and I got the best Phone call so we were reunitted. I can't say enough good things about chipping, w/o it we would have lost Davie!!

| Wow that sounds really reasonable for mircrochipping. I thought it would cost several hundreds of dollars.
