| Purebred or not?? **PICS** For those that read my thread about being less than happy about the puppy I picked up yesterday, these pictures are probably something you wanted to see. Even if you didn't read that thread, I need help on deciding if he's purebred or not. I have my doubts. Just examine them...his body structure...looks...legs....all that. Let me know what you think. the CKC registration means nothing. Thank you so so much....they can be a little blurry, but this one doesn't sit still....and he was chasing the cats off of the bed (That's one of our problems now.) |

| He looks it to me. His big ears are just cute! He seems to be getting along with one of your cats which is good, right? |

| He's so cute!!! He looks like a yorkie to me. There are quite a few yorkies on this forum that look sort of like that. Sometimes a yorkie's ears don't stand up all the way, but that doesn't make him less of a yorkie. That face is so sweet It looks like he's in a puppy cut, but his hair will grow. Yorkies can really look different with short hair than they do with long hair.

| hope its going better today... but I think he`s got the cutest face I`m sure he will turn out adorable... it depends on the energy you communicate to him. Don`t forget, he will feel what you feel I`m not a Yorkie expert but he looks purebred.... but it is impossible to say if you didn`t see the parents! Good luck! |

| He's still a puppy, so he might grow out of chasing the cats.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | looks like a yorkie to me. very cute. You can always trim his ears to match the rest of his cut and let it all grow out together. Bring him to the groomer and ask him to tip the ears. as for the cats, when he goes to chase one or bark, tell him no and distract him away from the cats with an even better game or treat.

very good! when he's sitting with the cats peacefully reward him with a yummy treat and tell him what a good boy he is. my friend has a dog that used to hate the cats. then she started rewarding the pup for being with the cats. she'd pet them both and say 'be nice to the kitty'. now whenever she says that the dog runs over to the cat and give him a kiss (can't say the kitty is happy about it but its better then before LOL)

| If you mean CKC as in Continental Kennel Club, he may or may not be a purebred. I have seen crosses that could pass as a Yorkie and as the Continental Kennel Club will register a dog based on pictures, a cross might have been in the background of this pup. Big ears can happen in PB yorkies. These are a little larger on this pup than I have seen however, if the ears are shaved all the way down to the bottom, the ears will look huge. The pictures are too blurry to really tell the size of the ears and how far down they are shaved. I don't know how much you paid for him, I hope it was not really big bucks. I am sure however, he will be a nice pet for you to love. |

| He's just a puppy and has probably never been around cats before, so you just have to train him and envolve them all in playing together. Also, it sound like you should repremand the cat for hissing at him. That probably just entices him to chase her. It's his natural instinct as a dog to chase cats, just like cats chase mice. lol.
