| Walking outside. Problem When Rocky was little, say 4 month old, i would take him out once in a while and he would walk or run right next to me. Now every time we go out, he is very stubborn, he wont follow the leash or me, if I pull he will just sit down and will not move. So i have to wait for him to get up and start wondering around in a direction he wants to go in, sniffing the floor and being all curious. Any sorts of command, like Come here, Rocky come, sit. are all out the window. What can i do and what is going on, is this his getting used to the outside phase? |

| I know how you feel ours did the same thing at that age....I would take him on his leash to my sons ball games and have to end up carry him with my lawn chair, bag, purse....etc.... He did learn to walk on a leash so be patient. My Ollie loves to take walks and just the mention of the word creates major head tilts!!!! I think around 4 1/2 - 5 months he got the hang of it but now at 6 months he takes walks like he has ADHD!!!!! oh he runs after a leaf ... but then oh he spots a piece of mulch... and oh boy a bug ...then over to the pole but then back to a bush but then there is another leaf... oh boy a person walking to their car...etc.........We are still perfecting his walking skills with the word -"WAIT"... be patient and good luck!! |

| I think it's just a matter of time and patience at that age. Just make sure you always use the same command, so he doesn't get mixed up. Like "Let's Go"
