| yorkies turn men to mush don't they!? omg - my husband turns into mush with romeo! i had given him a bath and was blowing his hair dry when he came in the room and of course romeo had to jump out of my lap because big daddy was there! he goes into how i need to be very careful with romeo and asks me several time if the blow dryer was too hot for him! he has to feel him to make sure he in not too hot! then he stands in the hallway watching me to make sure romeo is not being burned to death i guess. of course romeo is loving this and normally give me no problem at all when i have to dry him but he has to play up to daddy and acts like i am killing him! when it is just the two of us here he falls asleep in my lap as i blow his hair dry! does anyone else have a "daddy's baby",too????

| Yes! My girl is definitely daddy's baby! She curls up with him at night, won't with me. She comes to him when called, not me (but I am working on this - with cheese treats everytime she comes for a few days - see if that works!) He totally is hyper sensitive to all things going on with Jeanie. Our friends have said that the Mike they see with Jeanie is very different from the Mike they see normally......he's a big softie. Isn't it great what these little fur babies do for our men |

| My hubby carries around Lola like a baby on his shoulder. She rests her head on his shoulder and he cradles her body. My sister was like "you guys need a baby" haha.

| A little male input on the subject ... Of course I'm a sucker for our furbabies (we have an 11 month old and a 19 month old). Frankly, I'm a tiny bit suspicious of ANYONE who doesn't sort of cave in to them. When we got Bailey, she was a Mother's Day gift for my wife. I was okay with the idea of getting a Yorkie, but not particularly excited. By the time we left the breeder's house that day, I was trying to figure out how to affort the other female puppy that they had available. Couldn't do it then, but got our second puppy from that pair's next litter. My wife, my two daughters and my granddaughter all think I've gone totally nuts since Yorkies have come into our house - and they're probably right. And regarding children - I think babies are the most awesome things God puts on this earth. It is utterly AMAZING to watch young children when everything they do is a new learning experience! |

| Chip is a daddy's boy by far. He loves me too, but he LOVES Adam. What's so funny is most women say that they had to convince their husbands to get a yorkie and with us, it was the other way around. I've been raised around big dogs all my life. I've had a Shar-pei and a Golden, but Adam was adament on getting a yorkie. He took care of two of them for a close friend and he loved them, so he wanted one too. I was looking at all small dogs and was like "look at this one" "how about this one" and he said no to all of them. lol Of course now I wouldn't have changed a thing. I love Chip more than anything. That's not my dog. That's my child.

| Exactly. Our children are grown and out of the house. Even our granddaughter is 15. Bailey and Meggie are like a new crop of children in the house. I decided a while back that there is generally a basic difference between the way people relate to big dogs and little dogs. Big dogs tend to become our pals. Little ones, especially ones as sweet as all of the Yorkies I've ever met, tend to be our perpetual babies - and I love it. |
