| Dogsitting Swap For those of us who don't want to board our dogs, I thought we could start a thread to have dog sitting swaps. You can't find better dog sitters than people who own and love yorkies. Just give the dates you're out of town and the city. I live in Knoxville and I'm going out of town on 12/28-1/7. Anyone willing to sit for my dog this week and I can sit for your dog another week? |

| This is a great idea. My dogs hate to be boarded but with 4 I doubt anyone would swap with me. |

| That's a great idea, but I think there should be some kind of requirement to be eligible to watch someone elses pups. You want to make sure your babies are in honest, trust worthy, responsible hands. |

| I agree. I was planning to meet with the person several times at the park or different dog events in town. I would also meet their dog to make sure the two get along. I would also want to see their house before leaving my dog there. |

| good thread I have found yt members to be a great resource. Matter of fact Suzy just offered to take my dogs for a few days when my 2 different options for home sitters fell thru. (Her hubby so sweet to up the anty to 4 yorkies at their house for a few days.) Also, pepe mint has been so wonderful & watched my dogs 2 times for me while I've been in Nashville. I just hope I can return the favors sometime.

| hehe you thought of a great idea! That's exactly why I started petsitting in my home. I can't stand the thought of having a dog boarded. They just sit in their crate the whole time. They get very little if any playtime! That's just not fair. I actually have another yorkie (Lulu - she's Lotte's BEST friend forever! haha) and Sam the maltese who stay with with very often all sitting on the couch watching Grey's Anatomy with me. haha

| I charge $25 a night for one dog, $35 a night for two dogs, then if goes up $5 per dog every dog after that. I have yet to have anyone with more than 2 dogs come stay with me though. haha I charge $35 to go stay at people's homes with their babies too. I have a couple of great Yorkie Mommas and Daddys who I stay at their homes with their babies and my little guys get to come with me and play there. I'll tell ya, it's hardly a job! haha I have more fun than I do work! I especially love when Lulu comes to stay with Lotte (which is like every other weekend I swear!). I get to dress the girls up together and play with their hair and then they go mess it up playing in the backyard. haha
