| I will be 63 on Thursday, have had dogs all my life, raised 5 kids, and have 8 grandchildren. I KNOW sawyer is human . He knows exactly what I am feeling all the time, like he reads my mind. he is with me almost 24/7, and I would be lost without him. Just petting his soft little head gives me as much pleasure as when I touched my kids when they were babies. I think I have been a good Mom; at least my kids all say I was; and my grandkids think I'm the bomb; but my Sawyer is as close to complete joy as I have ever found on this earth,.

| I grew up with toy poodles who were like little humans, too, but Archie is the first dog I've ever had that was mine alone, so I am even more bonded to him than I was those wonderful family dogs. It's true -- Archie is like having a crazy two-year-old in the house: he doesn't come when called or answer to his name or respond to No!; he has pee-pee accidents and gets into things that he shouldn't. He also climbs up my body and onto my shoulder to take a nap when he is sleepy; snuggles close to me when he's playing with a toy; lays on his back and looks up at me adoringly; and stares anxiously at the door if I hand him to someone to hold and then leave the room. It really is a mother-child bond in so many ways -- I really do feel like I'm his mother! And, like moms of human kids, I get exhasperated with him plenty -- but I love him unconditionally.

| Lola is the same way. I've had other breed dogs and they acted like "dogs".

| Ssssh, don't say that too loud or else my 2 might hear you LOL, they think they are human, guess because we treat them so, when I got Victoria 7 years ago by son said he believed he was replaced by her LOL.

| My husband gets jealous because when he comes in the door Tilula doesnt move, sometimes shes in the bedroom & doesnt bother coming to see who came in-but as soon as my tires hit the driveway she knows it & is pacing from windows to doors & just goes crazy. She will start running to everyone looking at them like "mom is home, how can you just sit there all calm! She just cant stand it, she gets so excited "I have to disagree about the human child part though because my kids dont leave their bedrooms for anyone or anything. Yorkies are better than kids haha |

| Today I was at a friends house and there were two little girls there. They put Riley in one baby doll stroller and Lily in another. They were just wheeling them around and the dogs just let them. It was too cute. My friend said her little dog would never let the girls do that. They really are like little human babies.

| There is no doubt about it Yorkies are Human or little people trap in dog suits as my husband put it, believe me for my husband to say this it must be true, When I went from afghan hounds to yorkies he couldn't understand why I wanted a Yap Yap dog, when Ichabob came into our life he came in as a dog and some became our 4th Child he was no longer a dog, Wicket is the same way, they were and are treated, as little people, we do have common dogs, labs and a Jack Russell but they are dogs very much loved and pamper too but they do not have that special human trait, like yorkies do. maybe I am just crazy but if so I love it. |

| O.K., so I stumbled on this very old thread. All I can say is that I totally agree and it made me feel better to read about others that feel their Yoriies are more like humans. I swear my doggie is not a dog. I don't know what she is, but all I know is that I have this amazing bond with her and it certainly isn't like a "regular" dog bond. She actually grooms me in the morning, she licks her paws then my fingers in bed. And she does it, with I SWEAR, this loving way. She is taking care of me after I take care of her by scratching her belly, her paws, her ears. I just love this dog so much, I can't even explain it. She warms my heart every day and I love her!! |
