| Leaving My Baby I've only had Piper for not even 2 weeks yet and I'm leaving him for 5 whole days. I am going on vacation with my family, which we had planned before I even began my furbaby search. Unfortunately, where we are going does not allow pets, so my Piper Cub is going to be babysat by the wonderful breeder who I got him from. She's charging me nothing to keep him and his brother is still there too (they haven't found him a family yet but are placing an ad in today's paper). I trust her and her husband wholeheartedly, that is not the problem, because they love their babies so much. I am just concerned that while I'm gone, and he's back with his puppy parents and family, that he may forget his new Mommy. I am also afraid that the great strides we have made in housetraining him to go outside may also be forgotten. Has anyone had to leave their babies after such a short time and how were they when you returned home? I am going to miss him SOOOO much!! I take him to her house this evening...it will be sooo hard. I am sad already!!!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I've never been away from mine - ever. From what I've read - He should be fine that's actually going to be nice for him ...being around his first real home - when you get back he'll adjust to you again - they really do love their caregivers and you shouldn't worry about this - but I understand it ..Have a great trip. |

| You are very fortunate to have a breeder that is willing to board him for free. I'm sure he will be fine there!! Good luck & have a nice vacation!

| You did say something about how Piper picked you-- there must have been something special between you two for that kind of reaction. I wouldn't worry. Once he gets back to his new home with his favorite mommy he will be peachy keen! |

| I wouldn't worry about Piper forgetting you. He knows his mommy and he loves you as much as you love him. Piper will be so excited to see you when you return, and think about all of the puppy kisses that you get to look forward to! At least have the peace of mind of knowing that he will be well cared for while you are away, and the bonus is that Piper gets to spend a few days with his brother! Piper will be able to tell his brother all about the wonderful new mommy he has, and all about the adventures he has experienced in the past few weeks.

| Thanks Everyone You guys always know how to make me feel better! I'm missing my baby boy real bad tonight but I am happy that he is where he's at for the next few days, since he can't be with me of course. Our poor Boxer is getting boarded and our Chi is getting babysat by our neighbor who is also a friend. I prefer Piper's breeder to watch him since he is only a baby. I tell them that they are his Godparents I feel a little better since I took him there because I got to see how happy he was to see his Godparents (he gave them lots of kisses) and also his brother (they ran and romped and played-so cute) and the other Yorkies and Chis. He was having a ball!! But as soon as I would call his name and tell him to come to Mommy, he'd come running so I felt a lot better. Martha says he knows who his Mommy is and she can tell that I give him a lot of attention...made me feel good that she too notices our bond. I leave early tomorrow for vacation and return Sunday. I can't wait to go and get my Piper Cub back, but at least I know he's having a vacation of his own with his doggie family. Hopefully, he won't forget me and will be happy to see me I sure do miss him already!!

| Ohhhh, I tuned in late, I just wanted to say take lots and lots of pics so you can get your Yorkie fix each and every day. I hope you have fun and guess what? He will still know you when you get back and you can't imagine the greeting you will get. |
