| New Owner with a couple questions... Hey All, I brought Rusty home yesterday He is about 5 months old and absolutely adorable! BF and i LOOOOOVE him sooo much!!!! Anyways I have a few questions, as I've never had a yorkie before... How much do your baby's tend to sleep? He seems to get alot of energy and run around like a crazy puppy for a while, until he tires himself out and then he just lays down and naps. I've been watching for ANY signs of Hypo and been making sure he eats at least a handful of kibble every hour. One other question, kinda gross but I'm curious. His poop is not solid, its kind of mushy. Is this because he is not used to his new home or could it be something more serious? My bf and I are still unpacking some stuff in our new house, but as soon as i find my camera i will post pictures Thanks for the help!!! |

| Welcome to you and Rusty! Don't worry, the soft poop could be just the move, or have you changed his food? Could even be different water.. Unless it gets worse or continues for a few days, it should be fine. Instead of feeding every hour, at his age, he would be fine to just feed 3 times a day. These guys are so small, it's really easy to over feed. I know..lol Good luck with you new baby and we'll look forward to seeing pictures.

| Welcome COyorkieLover!! Sounds like you have a full life right now with a new puppy and a move. Coby seemed to have ENDLESS energy. I love puppies but was beginning to wonder if he was ever going to slow down. He's now 7 months old and was just neutered and is finally starting to slow down (from like 150mph to 100mph). At 5 months old, Rusty sounds pretty normal to me!!
