| I now understand about RUDE people and size comments My baby Baxter is close to 12 lbs. - He's adorable - He's the love of my life - He's just great - I've read many threads where rude people come up to fellow YT members and comment about the size of your dog - Wellllllll - It's happened. My neighbor came down the other day and saw Baxter - Her first comment was how big he got - I did not think anything of it - Then the comparisons started - She has s**tzu's and they are much smaller- and he (Baxter) is really big - Does he eat a lot- Did they tell you he'd be this big - blah blah blah blah blah - And to tell you the truth - it started to irk me. Didn't think it would - but it absolutely did - What difference does it make to her - Do I care what size her dogs are - I guess the deal is - DON'T DISS MY DOG. |

| People always ask if Loki is a Schnauzer because of his haircut or a Silky because of his size. Just ignore them, it's not worth it.

| Maybe we could have t-shirts made up with that slogan for rude people. Sorry that happened to you. People now do not have the manners that once were the norm. Maybe they are lacking brains, too.

| Hmm...if her shih tzus are that much smaller that your boy, then they are under-standard. Shih Tzus should be 9-16lbs according to AKC standard. So maybe you should tell her that her shih tzus are really small for shih tzus. Why are they so small? Does she not feed them? Did the breeder tell her she was buying undersized dogs?

--- Obviously, your neighbor has nothing better to do. As long as your is healthy, you don't have to worry about anything. | |

| I like your reference of kids! So far I've only gotten the "their soo small, etc" comments, none on being to big. Rocky's 5.9lbs and Bella is 3.5lbs. I think if I ever do get a rude comment about there size, I'll just say something about that persons size! Thanks for the idea!

| I personally believe in the saying " If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all". People are just rude. My Biewer is 13 pounds, and I consider him 13 pound love bug. Just some more to love.

I try to keep some comments in my back pocket. when I had danes, people would say "that's not a dog, that's a horse". man...i got that ALL THE TIME. So I started saying "you're right...I forgot!!! his dad was a horse, his mom was a Dog...look what I got" i do the same thing with maggie when they call her a rat...Only, of course, instead of horse, I use "rat". LOL people just stop and look at me funny. LOL
