| New and have a question Hi everyone! This is my first time posting although I have been reading your post since before I actually got my yorkie, Jazzi. I took her to the vet today and the first time I took her she weighed 1.4lbs and two weeks later she weighs 1.5lbs. She is active and alert all the time and very playful. She even goes after the cats!! She does drink more than she eats. Some days she'll eat a bowel full and some days she eats a little. The vet said she looks great and is healthy. My question is, is the normal and if so how big do you think she will get? She is 9wks old. BTW, I love this site, it is very addicting. Rachel |

| I just wanted to welcome you to YorkieTalk! I love her name!! I will leave the questions for others to answer, but I was told that some days they eat more and some less. I don't know about the small ones though. Gizmo was 2.25 lbs. when we brought him home.

| Here's a link to a sticky thread posted at the top of this page (general discussion) It has a puppy growth chart that might help. It didn't help me much with Gizmo though....so I think it varies from yorkie to yorkie. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16045

| Gizmo was a couple of days short of eleven weeks when we brought him home.

| She's tinier than Coby was, so I'm probably not much help either. But just wanted to say and I'm glad you quit lurking around and joined us!

| WELCOME TO RACHEL AND JAZZI It is always a pleasure to welcome a fellow Georgian to YorkieTalk. Can't wait to see pictures of your precious tiny bundle of love. It is so normal to be worried when you bring a new wee one home. Jazzi is a tiny little girl, but it sounds like you are giving her GREAT care, have a good head on your shoulders and are fast becoming an excellent YorkieMom! |

| Hi! Hi Rachel, Great to see another Georgia girl! Sounds like Jazzi is going great! Can't wait to see pictures of her! My Bella is 12 weeks and is 3 pounds, so it sounds like your sweet pea will be a tiny angel! You are right--this site is addictive!
