Bailey went to obedience school..and he is still as feisty as ever,, we go to family functions and everyone brings their dogs, and they all run and play, and Bailey has to be tied up,,cause he wants to fight with all the other males.... He Luvs the Ladies!! I wish he wouldn't be so feisty!!

| I have noticed that when Coco does something bad, I put her on time out or show her a bottle of bitter apple, and she immediately stops whatever she is doing. She hates bitter apple, so now she's recognized the bottle..haha..Maybe when your baby is being aggressive, put him on time out, or start the bitter apple punishment.

| I am a member of a dinner club and we hosted a couple of weeks ago. I took the girls' kennels out in the garage so things were a little different to them. With 20 guests I wondered if they would behave and they did, until my nephew came in with his little 6 months old baby. Lacey, in particular, barked so badly, I was soooo ashamed of her. So, I put her in time out for awhile. Then, she was still not happy but she quieted down. |

| Baby is good with most people, but she HATES small children. I think the shriek they often make just upsets her. Also, there have been a few people that I have met that she just hates. I always trust her judgement. I think animals can sense good and bad people! |

| Bitter apple is this spray, that tastes REALLLLY BITTER. They hate that stuff, and it's used to train dogs not to chew on stuff or bite. I use it for other stuff too =) So when she does something bad, I dribble a drop on her tongue, and trust me two drops totall and she is behaving perfectly. After doing this twice, now she recognizes the bottle. So when she misbehaves, I say NO! and show her the bottle. Trust me, it works. My dog is extremely spoiled, so no attacks on my punishment. It just works for me. But you can't spray that stuff around their eyes, so you have to use it with caution. You can get it at walmart, petsmart, ect.

| We do our socialization training by using a positive reinforcement and exposing our dogs to varied situations. Try keeping treats(like cheerios) in your pocket when you take him out to meet people, and while you hold him(for comfort) let the 'strangers' offer the treat. You want him to develop a positive association with 'strangers', instead of a fearful one. Fear fosters aggression. Try to ignore him when he growls and immmediately praise him when he doesn't. Puppy class could work very well to help him learn canine social skills from the other pups. |
