| Dog Parks- Please Advise Hello all. I don't know if anyone on here has actually done this, but I want to do it and would like input if you have done so. I live directly across the street from a park and it's a pretty good size park. There are tennis courts there, a baseball field, basketball courts, gym, children's playground as well as picnic area along with a lot of grass. Well, its located smack in the middle of a residential area, tons of condos and apartments surrounding it. We have a lot of people in the neighborhood that have dogs and they usually want to take their dogs out to play, on and off leash. The problem that has recently arisen is that the baseball field is now being rented out by private parties for their own leagues and such and they throw a fit about people with their dogs off lease (I totally understand that, they have their rights too). People have been getting tickets for it and even the people who do keep their dogs on leash, we feel like we are not being treated kindly when we walk by the leagues playing their games. Well, I want to petition the City or do some sort of fund raising to have a small dog section or fenced an area of the park up so that people with dogs can go in there and have their dogs off leash and play without any pressure from others in the park. I have emailed the City about it already but wanted to get input on it from you guys. Has anyone ever done anything like this before? Is this the proper way of going about it? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

| Modern Dog Magazine There is an article in Modern Dog Magazine this month that gives details on how to get your city to approve a dog park. The magazine has Pamela Anderson on the cover if you're looking for it (I know). I didn't read the article, but I have it at home & I will look at it tonight & will send you the details if you want. Good luck!!!

| Good luck with the dog park. We have several around us and they are wonderful but I was never involved in getting them built. |
