| Boobah can now go downstairs by herself! [B]Something great happened, finally! Boobah now goes down the stairs by herself! I was teaching her yesterday how to go down step by step with a treat in my hand. You would think each step was a 10-story building! But now she's going upstairs and downstairs at will. I'm proud of my little 6 month,7 day baby. Each day I learn something new about my little one.

| YAY! I never realized how hard stairs were for these guys. My Stewie can do the deck stairs by himself, but there are only 3 of those. Forget the basement stairs, though. He'll stand at the top the entire time I'm doing laundry. |

| Stairs Yep, I never thought she could make it down the stairs, I have to laugh though, she looks like a bunny rabbit when she is making it down the stairs! I gave her a treat when she finished. She gave me that look that says "And you thought I couldnt do it!"

| Yep, I thought boobah was too small also, but lo and behold she surprised me this morning! Since it was so hot over her in Los Angeles yesterday (114 degrees) we stayed in the townhouse and I practiced with her coming down the stairs. You know, that one step at a time bit, I thought I was wasting my time because Boobah looked liked she hated doing it. But it worked! Who knows, with time, maybe your baby will surprise you, too.

Therapy Dog Donating Member | Congrats Boobah on going up and down the stairs all by yourself. I thought Izzy was too small too (she's still 2 pounds 5 ounces at 8 mos.) but we have three cats and boy she was bound and determined to chase them both ways and it certainly didn't take her long to go up and down our main stairs. But it took her a few months to go up and down our rec room/basement stairs.....they are deeper. It's cute though since she takes one stair at a time in the beginning now she flys up and down like a pro now - that's what the cats taught Izzy.

| Oh good then I do have hope! It is such a pain when she stays upstairs to have to go and get her.

| "Congratulations" on teaching Boobah how to do that. Rudy will go up the stairs but not down. Your little Boobah is so.... cute.

| Thanks, your baby is adorable, it took me a long time for me to take the fear of descending the steps out of her. You never know when these little guys will surprise you! Boobah, like Rudy, used to climb the stairs without a problem. But coming down was another problem. It goes to show, persistence, persistence and more persistence with these little ones!

| My boobah will stay at the top of the stairs until I get back from the laundry room also! She has that desperate look in her eyes like Im not coming back!LOL. Maybe that's better, because there's a lot of places she can hide in the garage and I'd have to play 'hide and seek' with her.

| boobah gets exercise from the stairs! Well at least think of it this way, my boobah and your baby gets exercise from running up the stairs so many times! Boobah runs like a 747 taking off!LOL...I know she feels like she has more freedom in the house now, last night was the first time she was wandering around the place about 11pm. Finally she comes up and yelps and gets into bed with us. I felt at first that I would roll over on her, but she has this keen sense of motion that even when she's asleep her little frame moves quickly like a rabbit out of the way. I find myself waking up when I get close to her and move out of her way
