| PU!! Puppy Breath I don't know why, but our 10wk old male puppy has the worst breath. I thought it was his ears, but it's not, or that it was from vomiting in the car on the way home (when we first got him), but his snout still stinks, after two baths and brushing his teeth! PU!! Any ideas on why? Will he outgrow this? Thanks! |

| A 10 week old puppy shouldn't have that stinky of breath. They should just have that normal "puppy breath" which in my opinion smells better than "adult breath". Normally puppies will start teething around 4 months and then their breath will get super stinky because adult teeth start growing in before all the baby teeth fall out and food gets caught in between the teeth and stinks. Your puppy may have a digestive problem that is causing his breath to smell so bad. I'd take him to the vet for a good check-up

| I agree. Puppy breath has a smell all of it's own, but it's not stinky.

| Really? What type of digestive problem? He has an appointment next week, that was the earliest I could get for his "new puppy" checkup. I hope everything is ok. I'm not sure I know what normal puppy breath is. We only had one other dog, and she was 6 months old when we got her. I'll try to move up the appt. Thanks again, Liz |

| I agree. There could be something wrong with your puppy. I think normal puppy breath smells like Basil!

| He eats dry food, Purina One. The breeder gave us a bag when we picked him up. Now, he does eat other things as we are out walking. We get as much as we can out of his mouth. BUT, his breath was stinky when we brought him home. Basil? I'll have to check that out. Thanks, Liz |
