| Do you use the Pet stairs for your guys? Do any of your yorkies have/use the pet stairs? What kind do you have? Store bought or homemade? Do you like them? Before I invested in the stairs/steps- I wanted to see if they were worth the it and what the best style would work for my guys? Thanks in advance for any advice you have.....

| Yes!! They can get luxating patellas over time from jumping on/off furniture, so we have doggie stairs for ours For the couches, we have the 3-step stairs, and our bed is pretty high off the ground, so we bought the 4-step stairs for the bed. Also, we have a little ottoman next to the stairs that are by the bed just in case too. They use the stairs like crazy. Miko uses the stairs by the couch, no problem, but he has something against the stairs on the bed, so he likes to use the ottoman instead.

| We made steps for the bed. They seem to do OK with the couches.

| Yes, I have a three step one by the bed. The dog go to the cedar chest and then to the bed. I bought it at Wal-green drug store for $10. It has a sherpa type cover that washes well. I was like you and wanted to try steps but the price was too high. When I saw these for $10 I snatched one up (along with 2 dog beds for $10 each too!). You might see if your Wal-green has any of these to try to see if you want a more expensive or bigger one. I am happy with this one for now. |

| Yes, Bubba uses the stairs. Sissy refuses. Got them at CVS 19.95 (I think)

| I first bought a wooden stepstool because it had storage in it. i figured can store her clothes and she can have steps. She had a very hard time with the wooden steps when she was little, her little claws would make her slip on the wood. Now that she is old she can use them with no problem. They are still by the waterbed, because she likes to climb up sometimes instead of jumping esp when bring her toys up. We have the actual pet steps as well. Those were great she could use them while she was a baby. They were great when she was too little to jump on to the couch. Now that she is bigger, that set of stairs is only used by Aurora and Jasmine( the cat) as a competion to see who can get on it first and hog it.

| We have some for our bed since it's so tall and it scared me when they would just jump out on their own. Plus it's nice now because they can get keep up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, get water, etc. and then get back into the bed without waking anyone up. I bought mine from eBay. They are really nice and hand-crafted. I wanted something that looked better than the cheap-looking ones at Target, Walmart, etc. Also, I wasn't sure how sturdy the discount store ones would be. I believe we paid about $65 for them. |

| We bought the three step one at Linens N Things on sale for like $20. It works for the couch, but not the bed. It had a coupon you could mail in for a 4th step, but that one step would have cost more than the other 3. Measure carefully...with our feather bed, pillowtop mattress pad, down comforter and bedspread, we had to have more than five steps, so we built our own. I have heard that you can buy child-sized papasan (sp?) chairs at Walmart, but I haven't thought to look while I was there. If you find something in town, please let me know.

| We have a 3 step one, the same as Kathy's that we bought at Walgreens for $10. Only Lexie uses it now, but I think as the other two get older they will use it also. We love it, and the cover comes off and is washable. I wish we had a 4 stepper though because of the matress, but the 3 is fine for now.

| Well I was worried about kicking them off the bed in the night so I got rid of the bed frame and now have the mattress on the floor. So I don't need to worry about the bed but i'm thinking of getting some for the couch. How do you guys actually get them to use the stairs as opposed to just jumping? |

| I have two set of stairs that mine use. One is a 3 step, it was a cheap one that I bought at Walgreens for $20 and it has held up great!! I use it for the couches. The other one I bought is for my bed. I got it at Petco. It has 5 stairs and is best for them getting up on beds or something taller. And they all love the stairs and use them every day!! It is so nice because they can go down the stairs at night to get a drink or go potty without me worrying about them falling or hurting themselves. And it was very easy to teach them to use them. I am so glad I got the stairs and I think it was money well spent!!
