| I am very concerned Was wonder if anyone else has a yorkie that sounds like they have snorting problem... like when Gin-Gin gets excited she makes this noise like she is snorting her air in thru her nose and she shakes when she is doing this..I hope I explained this correctly and someone can give me some advice..Should I take her to the vet, is this something to be concerned about, is she sick?? Any and all advise or suggestions would be greatly appreciated...it seems to be getting worse these last couple of days..

| The snorting is normally Reverse Sneezing. It usually happens when a dog gets excited and starts rapidly intaking air through it's nose, making that snorting sound. You can place your finger over your dog's nostrils to make it stop. If it's more of a hacking sound, it could be collapsed trachea, but I really think it's probably just reverse sneezing.

| My pixie does that sometimes in her sleep and if she gets over excited. She is also the loudest snorer, we said it to the vet he checked her lungs and said there was nothing obvious there! She freaks me out when she does it but I am always concious of it and check her when it happens!!
