Donating YT 11K Club Member | What do you do if your yorkies bites you? None of mine bite, except today Teddy kinda did but not hard but i still consider it a bite cause it was his intentions. I put him in the bathroom which is a decent size cause he keeps trying to jump on the bed to get to London(whos in heat), so i tried to put him in there for a few minutes when i couldn't watch him and when i try to close the door he growls hard and kinda bites me. He hates being alone, or in the bathroom which i have only put him there about 3 times cause of London. Well how do you react when/if they bite you? btw Teddy is not aggressive at all, he is the friendlist dog in the world but if you try to put him in the room or close the door on him he gets really mad

Donating YT 11K Club Member | No he's not neutered but he's also never aggresive or anything, this is only when i try to put him in a bedroom, bathroom, or just close the door and put him on the other side, like if im in my room and am trying to put him in the living room. He always wants to be with me or my bf, he will follow us so i guess he just hates being by himself

| Entire males do often get very agressive when they can smell a bitch in heat, its a survival technique. |

| I could be totally wrong with this, I'm just making an assumption, but maybe since she's in heat, if he was trying to get her that's what made him snap at you. |

Donating YT 11K Club Member | He is not aggressive, she is in heat but he's just hyper, jumping a lot to get to her but if i pick him up, move him away he won't try to bite me or anything, he is still very friendly. It's only when i try to close the door and put him in the bathroom, he's done this before so i know it's not cause of her heat. He just hates being in there. My question is what do you do if your yorkie has ever done this? Do you yell NO? cause i certainly do not want to just let it go if it happens again and have him think it's fine

| I would simply pick him up calmly and put him in time out for a couple of minutes. You can say no firmly before you put him in time out but don't yell it because that will just make him think that you are unstable. |

| biting I have had a few who thought they would try and take my alpha bitch position...I would take a hold of their muzzle, make eye contact and talk in a stern voice, rarely, has there been a second nibble...I always chalked it up to a momentary lapse of remembering ones position in society..no hard feelings. The funny part was the looks on some of the other Yorkies faces when one snapped at me...they looked shocked, some would leave the room and others would try to bite the biter..LOL |

| My gizmo is not neutered, he is sweet as pie at all times except when one is in heat. He becomes possessive of her. He has bit my hand only once when I picked him up while he was laying by the girl. I was very stern with him and told him no and he has not done it again. Their brain is somewhere else when a girl is in heat. |

Donating YT 11K Club Member | I have put him on is back before when he was being too rough and he fought and fought to get back up and finally gave up and licked my hand so it did work. This time though it's like he's trying to prevent me from closing the door so i can't do that. Everytime i try and close it he will growl and do everything possible to stop me.
