| weight:age help ?! i would like to know if my baby boy is a teapot yorkie . for those of you who dont know what a teapot is, its a large yorkie, but still a purebred yorkie . well ... my baby is 3 months and almost 3 weeks old && about 5 pounds . is he a teapot or a regular ? please please helpp . =] thank you all

| well you can never know for sure what weight a dog will turn out to be, but seems to me that you got yourself a teapot!!! i bet hes adorable!! you should post pics!! |

| My guess is that he will weigh around 9lbs. He's a teapot!! I bet he's adorable!!

| I've never heard the term teapot before but yorkies are usually about 1/2 their weight at 3 months. Yours will probably be a little more than the breed standard. I'd guess maybe 8-9lbs. Either way he looks like a cutie! Congrats on the new puppy |

| thats what we call above standard size yorkies on here. mostly because there is such a craze on the teacups that we call the larger ones teapots because we think they are just as cute as the little ones. And more healthy too, less likely to get the injuries those with tiny bones are more likely to endure.
