| Nervous Yorkie? Do any of you out there have a really nervous yorkie? Mckenzie is a very sweet dog and with her fur siblings she is outgoing and unafraid. My mom has two italian greyhounds she goes to visit, I would say weekly. She is very submissive to them, but she still barks, plays, ect. But, when we see other dogs, cats, birds, squirrels she lets out these high pitched barks where you would think the world is coming to an end. They are very frantic and you can see that she's visibly upset or afraid. We just went for a walk and she was absolutely screaming at a tree, like she was so scared of it. We tried to continue on the walk and she kept it up for I'd say 1-2 minutes. I am working on socializing her by taking her places where she will see other people and dogs in a safe environment and we are starting training soon because of her shyness. But when we go to petco, she refuses to walk and when I carry her and someone wants to pet her or she sees another dog, she will bury her head into my arms or bark excessively. She gets like this with people also and will run and hide, or stay really far from others, or sit on my lap. Usually I don't allow her to sit in my lap because I don't want to encourage the scared reaction she is having. Have anyone of you dealt with this before? All of my other dogs have been very welcoming of other people and dogs and I'm not really sure what I can do to make her transitions to new places, people, and things easier for her. |

| My Fritzel is TERRIFIED of everybody but me and my husband. He only really likes me, he puts up with husband because he takes him outside when I am not home and gives him treats. I adopted him last November. The vet said he was around 2 years old then. He had a broken pelvis and dislocated hip. The vet wasn't sure what could have caused it. I think either a person hurt him or he was a breeder's dog and not socialized. He is still afraid of my 15 year old son and he has tried to make friends with him. He hides behind the couch a lot. If I tell him to sit he runs behind the couch. I think he probably used to poop in the house and somebody yelled sh*t when he did it. So when I say sit he thinks he did something wrong. He loves me to death, and sleeps in bed with me when my husbandsworks at night. But if he's home he sleeps on the floor beside the bed. He does not like to go in the car. He tried to bite me one time I put him in the car. He gets along with my other dogs great. Once in a while he nips at one of the cats because he gets jealous. He is scared to be brushed but is getting better about it. It is a STRUGGLE to clip his nails. I don't take him to a groomer because it would be too traumatic for him and I don't trust them with my baby. He just started to bark at the vacuum. But he sees one of the other dogs do it. I hope in time he will be less nervous. But I don't see it happening.

| We have 3 very out going furbabies, but one of the 7 5 week old puppies is very timid, and nervous. She eats last, she sleeps alone and the other 6 are in a pile, she will not give puppy kisses... I try and hold her more and socialize her more. Any suggestions here??
