Question about "Chocolate" Yorkies, Buying Males & Age Question

They cannot be shown AKC, but UKC recently approved for a close friend of mine who has been breeding chocolate yorkies for over 10 years to show them.

My Tiffy is AKC registered as liver/tan as Pat mentioned, so Yapper to answer your original question, yes the chocolate yorkies do exist, and can be registered although they can't be shown.

No matter what color you go with always make sure your puppy is healthy and , do alot of research on the breeder and ask ask ask questions. Any reputable breeder will be more than happy to answer them all and help you with what will work best for your situation. Heaven knows how much I bombarded Pat with tons of emails and calls and thru it all she was more than patient and very helpful.
If you do get your little chocolate I hope to see pics of him here since as you know we all love to share our little furbabies with others who will appreciate them as much as we do.

And in the topic of sharing....here are some pics of our little princess wearing two new outfits, one from Jennie (Sassypup) Boutique and the other one that Deb (tiggerr36792) was so nice to pick up for Tiffy from a boutique in California!! I have tons more to post this weekend.

First, I have to say how much I enjoy the comments going back and forth. It can be really fun and entertaining. I am definitely a YT fan!

I got mixed up, though. Where do I go to see the breeder or owner who has a chocolate? I did see the cutie on one of the posts. Is there another one?

Also, as for price, what is the going rate? I just want a pet. I will have the pup fixed and I won't be showing but how do you know you are getting a good, healthy little dog?

Hmm, weird! I thought I remembered a thread on here that said it wasn't a recognized color.

Alot of people on here would like for them not to be recgonized. But they are and thanks to my friends hard work breeding them over the past 10 years and fighting for their rights with AKC they will soon be allowed to show with AKC. THey are wonderful dogs. Slightly bigger than normal yorkies, but just as lovable.
