| moving into a new home Hey everyone, Im moving out of my apt and moving into a new home. Im buying a big cage to keep Brooklyn in while im away. but other than that, what can i do to make sure he doesnt ruin my home like he did to my apt. For example, he ripped the carpet up in a few corners ( keeping him a cage will take care of that), we have pee stains all over our carpet. i must admit that we dont clean it up right away when he makes accidents. but i want to train him to start going in the back yard. i dont know how to do that? |

| Crate training him again, would prob be the best way. But at first when hes out of his crate, lock him up in small places, don't let him run around the whole house. |

| I think retraining him on the crate is a great idea. Then put him in enclosed areas where he can't ruin anything.

YT 2000 Club Member | My I recommend that you get a book like Yorkies for Dummies, or Puppies for Dummies. I have not gotten my puppy yet but have been reading on how to crate train for when he doe's come home. I found both book informative! Good luck! |

| i would gate him in the kitchen or bathroom with a potty pad or crate train if your not going to be gone in long stretches at a time.

think of it this way. wolves are raised in dens, the crate is your puppies den.
