| Small bump under chin? Ok, tonight I was rubbing Kelsey's tummy, neck, legs, arms etc. She loooves it...anyway, I noiced a small bump, pinkish color, underneath her chin/neck I dont know what it could be? It's not matted hair or anything like that it's more of a bump like a mosquito bite or something??? Any suggestions on what it might be? Im probablly worried over nothing. But If it's serious I should take her to the vet tomorrow.

| How old is she? Maybe it could be puppy acne. My boxer had a few bumps on her chin, the vet said it was puppy acne. Perhaps you can wash her dishes more often or use stainless steel instead of plastic.... if you do not already. I found it helps. or maybe a clogged hair duct. |

| Puppy Acne? Weird! I've never heard of that before. I do have a plastic dish for her, interesting. Do you think that is it?

| Yes, I think so. I switched my pup's bowls and it sure made a difference. Plastic & ceramic bowls can harbor bacteria... The stainless is cleaner and better & safer to use, even though some have used them for years on their pets and never had a problem. I think it has to do with your dogs senstivity. All the best ! |

| Daisy sends yorkie kisses for Kelsey's bump to get better. She thinks Kelsey is pretty and wants to look like her. |

| I never heard of puppy acne before. So i did some research I found this info. Treating Puppy Acne To help clear up Puppy Acne (chin pimples) the following tips will help... Serve food and water from Steel or Glass (porcelain) dishes only. Clean after EACH use. Never re-offer moist food which has been left out in room temp. Make a fresh batch when feeding. DRY the face thoroughly after each drink and meal. After washing and drying the chin/face, use gold bond powder on the chin and sides of nose. Apply Oxy-5 if it is available or needed, 2 times a day. Add some apple cider vinegar to the drinking water (a teaspoon or so) as it is astringent. These should clear up most staph related puppy acne. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | My youngest Cheri has a little tiny bump right under her chin also - when she goes in to the vet next time...I'm getting it looked at... but for now it seems like a little growth...it's sooo tiny I really have to feel around to find it so I'm not worried about it... |
