| UNBELIEVABLE! Yorkies Stolen! This was in my local paper this evening...how horrible! Seven dogs stolen from York woman Daily Record/Sunday News Article Launched: 08/16/2007 09:48:48 AM EDT 9:48 AM Aug 16, 2007 — Seven dogs - including four, newborn Yorkie puppies - were taken from a home in York sometime Wednesday. Sylvia Grovell told police someone forced their way into her home in the 900 block of West Princess Street sometime between noon and 3:45 p.m. Wednesday and took more than $4,000 in dog cages and dogs. The animals include: four, small, black-and-tan puppies, which were 3 weeks old; full-grown male and female Yorkies and a female mixed Yorkie and Chihuahua. Seven dog cages also were taken. Anyone with information is asked to call city police at 846-1234. My heart breaks for those poor babies and I feel so bad for the owner. She must be out of her mind with worry. The crime rate is out of control in the city but this is ridiculous!

| What is our world coming to? I can't believe the number of home invasions & thefts of people's furbabies when they are out for a walk. Makes me nervous. I was thinking about getting one of those pet rescue stickers for my windows in case of emergency - but that would tell even a stranger there were dogs/cats inside! These poor people!

| That is horrible,I cannot imagine what she is feeling, the not knowing!Hopefully they can find them and they get returned. I do not think anyone would be able to take ours they would have one heck of a time for mine are very protective and do not like strangers, takes them awhile to come and just investigate new people here. |

| Those poor dogs must be frightened out of thier minds as well as the owner's who must be sick with worry. I swear nothing just is not safe today. Your children can't play outside in their own yards and your dogs can't go out alone either. Who would have ever thought the day would come when children and pets would be stolen! I am so glad Buddy is a larger Yorkie because the thiefs want the smaller ones. They bring in a fast buck so the can stick crack up their nose or shoot it in their arm. Mean while people are sick with fear and worry over their beloved children and pets. It's just so frightening. |

| Wth????? How does one go in to a house in the middle of the day and take dogs and several cages without anyone noticing? Maybe they dont have close neighbors or they all work. This is terrible and I was going to get a license plate that says yorkies on it too but not now. I have V make me some business cards and I put my address on them so now I need her to do some more without it on there. I dont know what people are thinking stealing new born babies on top of it. I hope they got momma too. |

| if i breed dogs i would NEVER let people know where i live now.. This is just Crazy..what is the world coming to. Seriously! i just got my other two microchipped so if they are stolen(i hope that never happens) i can at least flag them as stolen. I feel so sorry for all the people that have had to go through this. I can't even imagine what it would feel like

| Its so sad and so scary. Its happening so much lately!! We got Avery at the Beginning of June and her dad was stolen from the breeder's backyard around Mid-June. I felt horrible for them.. Luckily they were able to keep one of the new puppies(Avery's brother) but still.. Stolen right from their backyard. (She said it was probably because people knew she had puppies and had gotten her address(They knew she had Yorkies.) Guard your lil ones.. better to be safe than sorry. (My heart goes out to all the people who have recently lost their lil ones, especially the ones one here!! )
