| Yes but I would not pay as much for a CKC than a AKC.

| My Otis was offered as CKC registered (however I never sent his papers in) I didn't realize at the time that there was a difference between that and AKC. That was before YT taught me so much!!! The registration wasn't real important to me at the time, but I know it is to some folks. So the answer from me is, Yes, I would purchase CKC, because I don't show or breed. But I would not purchase without seeing both parents and the place where they live. Otis was very reasonably priced.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | If the puppy was what I was looking for I wouldn't mind. Cali was apr or something like that and I never registered her. With Pixie I got her from a show breeder and AKC and there is a big difference in the quality of the 2.

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | I was just wondering because I was looking at their site, (although all mine are AKC) and I think if I wasn't breeding, I would buy a CKC reg. pup. |

| Yes I would if I trusted the breeder and I wasn't going to breed.

| I don't think I would. You never know, but I'd try to steer clear of CKC breeders.

| Both of my furbabies are CKC. The title means nothing to me. I don't breed or show so they don't need to be AKC. I would expect CKC to be more resonably priced, my girls were a great deal. They have no health problems and are happy as can be. AKC or CKC I would love them just the same.

| Anyone can register with CKC, which isn't a bad thing. If you're thinking of breeding or showing I'd go for the AKC.

Donating YT 14K Club Member | No, I would not...and this is why: http://www.continentalkennelclub.com...kRegistrations 2.Dogs over 6 months of age which have no previous Registration history may be registered by providing 2 witness signatures attesting to the purebred status of the dog along with 3 photos (front, left and right) of the dog to confirm it is ‘of proper breed type’ as defined by our current CKC Registration Rules and Regulations. Now, we can all admit that there are mixed dogs out there that do look like purebreds. Now, Joe Blow down the street and his loony wife can be witnesses (with a small pay off of course)??? Or, someone can take pics of a purebred dog owned by Jane Doe or stolen off the internet, get Joe Blow and his loony wife to witness and BAM...you got papers!!!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | There's a registry for EVERYTHING these days - it's kind of scary and it's the buyer that gets taken for a ride if they don't do their homework |
