| I'm not a groomer, but I don't pluck. (Hurts me to pluck!) I bought one of those small mustache electric razors to use on her ears and rear. It works great. Just hold your hand behind the ear and zip, hold in front of the ear and zip. Can do the edges too. |

| I never plucked them. I've always trimmed them. |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | I don't think a shaver can get down inside the ear canel. Those are the hairs that need to be plucked.

| you pluck the hair from inside the ear to prevent ear infections, If it is not taken care of your baby could suffer from a bad ear infection. It trapes the water inside the ear and can end up being a painful and costly for your little baby. To pluck the hair from inside the ears doesnt really hurt them unless you pull out several at a time, and they come out rather easily. I can get them with my fingers, pull lightly and they come out. It is better to do this instead of wait and chance your baby getting sick, which would you rather a few minutes of inconvience or days of anitbiotics, oral, and ear, and a wash to top it off, trust me, went through it, so not fun!!!

| Ear Hair Recently I took Chloe to the vet for shots, right after having her groomed and she told me the groomer needed to be a little more careful about getting that hair from the inside of her ears. She could see powder where they tried, of course, Chloe could have been the problem because my groomer is very good. The vet told me it really did not hurt, it was a quick pull with the right tool but not getting that hair could results in sever ear infections. |

| I use a regular pair of tweezers. Just lay the pup in my lap and pet and pull. Just a few at a time. I'm usually watching tv so they think they are getting loved on while they get groomed and I get to watch tv. TADA! Sylvia |

| The hair can mat deep down in the canal and infections, like yeast, can get pretty bad. The powder is used to dry the ear (I know I will be corrected if I am wrong--LOL) before you pluck with a surgical clamp..a mosquito for tinies and kelly for bigger babies..you just grab a few hairs with the clamp, gently twist a little and pull fast. The dogs might put up a little fuss but they are better off.. |
