| Please be careful!!! Last night I was running to the grocery store, so I left Jack in his exercise pen. He usually paws at the pen for a few minutes barking after I leave (according to roomie). I forgot my keys so I went back to grab them and Jack was crying really loudly and I noticed that his toenail was caught on the corner connector thing of the pen. He was on his hind legs pulling at it trying to get loose. His nails arent very long, he's only about 9 weeks old but I trimmed them up a bit anyway so hopefully this wouldn't happen again. I am so glad I forgot my keys because who knows how long he would have been stuck or if he would have hurt his toe. Just wanted to tell anyone who uses x-pens. Please be extra careful and keep their nails clipped! |

| It's so great that you went back inside! He would have been miserable if you hadn't!!! I had a similar experience with my jack russell terrier a few years ago. He was crate trained and we crated him any time we left him. One time we were gone only a short time and when we came back he had gotten the bottom 2 teeth (the big ones that stick up on either side of the front 4) stuck in the metal squares of the crate door. I nearly had a heart attack and it was hard to get them out! I guess he was biting at the crate metal door (he was a real pistol!) and those two teeth slipped through the square but then wouldn't come out until I squeezed on them to push them back out. It was VERY scarey!!!
