| We left a deposit for a beautiful little girl puppy. She was very friendly to us. When we returned to bring her home and complete the sale, we were shown a different dog. The breeder? kept insisting it was the same dog, but it was much larger, and did not have the same personality (this dog wanted nothing to do with us - only the breeder?). We knew this was not the same dog. I finally said that dog does not look anything like the picture we took on our cell phone. The breeder quickly informed us that maybe we would like a different dog, but we could never register it with the AKC because they only wanted their dogs to be pets - not breed. I knew we were not purchasing any dogs from them. They knew it too and quickly returned our deposit and ripped up all paper work. We had made a copy of the paperwork, and I did talk to the bbb. I did feel bad for those dog. |

| Hi Bronco, I am so sorry to hear about your bad experience. I also live in MA and was searching for a Yorkie for many, many months. I soon realized that the only way we would find an honest breeder was to go through the YTCA.org. They have breeder referrals for most states and MA does have four very reputable breeders. We contacted each of them and because none of them were expecting pups when we were ready, we found a breeder in CT also from the YTCA referral listing. It was only a two hour ride for us but we did find the sweetest Yorkie and a wonderful breeder. Good luck in your search. Anna Kiki's Dogster Page: http://www.dogster.com/dogs/511397 |
