| Vet vists--how often? I will be getting a new baby yorkie in a few weeks and was wondering, how often do you bring them to the vet---without getting excessive and expensive. I know it will cost to have a puppy, but I really only want to bring her in when necessary. KWIM??? Thanks in advance! |

| After the puppy shots are done, I take mine in for their yearly shots and a 6 month wellness check.

| So what are the necessary shots...etc. I think she will be somewhere around 9wks when we actually get her and the breeder said she would be caught up on shots...so what is next??? I know that is probably a really dorky yorkie question...but I have never owned anything but a cat.....so, kind of lost. Thanks! By the way, I am buying my puppy...ahem...I mean, the puppy for my husband. |

| When I got AUbrey I think I had to take him about 4 times, just for shots. Then i took him 2 extra times because I thought he was sick. My vet has them come every 3 weeks, for either 4 or 5 times, then they don't come back until they are a year old. |

| I go every six months for either shots, or a well checkup.
