| What are some good treats for puppies? We have been using Wellness Pure Rewards Chicken and Lamb Jerky. But I think my pup is starting to get sick of it. There is a pet specialty store nearby that makes homemade biscuits and such, but I think he's too young for those. Are there any other good quality treats that anyone would recommend for a puppy?

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | Bengi likes pupperoni, but I only give him small pieces when he goes potty. I heard a lot about cheerios but never got them; the other day I got a box and he loves it; he loves crunchy stuff, so that way he can get something healthy and I can avoid giving him a piece of a chip or cracker. |

| We give Tatum yogurt drops for potty trips but I have trained her to do many things by using Cheerios. They are so small and not fattening. You can give quite a few which works when training. We give our Aust. Shepherd the Science Diet teeth formula food (can't remember which abbreviation it is) as treats. It's specifically for cleaning teeth and maintaining good oral hygiene but we only give it as treats. Tatum loves them too but they're kinda big so usually only the bigger dog gets them.

| I give Roxy Cheerios and baby raw carrots. She loves both and knows what carrot means when I say it. She runs to the refrigerator and waits for me. Cheerios work great for training. |

| Boobah loves carrots Quote:
I only give her a couple of carrots mixed with her kibbles, she's very fussy with her food, sometimes I get concerned that she might get malnourished if she doesnt eat what I give her. Ive tried several foods. yet, she zooms through the rooms of the house like someone was chasing her!

| Lacy also has the Wellness Pure Rewards Chicken and Lamb for treats. I would like to get her the venison and salmon formula as well. She really loves these treats. I'm not sure if you are saying your dog is getting tired of the treats or they are making it sick - but if they are making your puppy sick you may be giving too many. I usually just give Lacy a couple a day. She also really likes freezedried liver and chicken breast. She is on a raw diet so I only very rarely give her treats with grain in it (like cookies) so we try to stick to meat and veggie treats.

| Gizmo likes three kinds of treats and that's pretty much it! We trade off so he doesn't get tired of any one. He will be five months old on the 9th. (OMG!! That's day after tomorrow! lol) -Yorkie Yummies (Chattiesmom) is a tiny treat that is GREAT for a training reward -Cafe Max treats (Bren) will make very small sized treats (potty reward) He likes all of them, but prefers the ones with yogurt icing like the iced cinnabones -Yogurt drops (Petsmart) but these have vitamins in them so you can only give a few a day

| We have to rotate treats a lot. Coby gets tired of the same treats. So we find several things that he likes (and that's good for him) and then rotate through them when we go to the pet store. And we give carrots (tonight he had a grape), cheerios, etc.

| Grapes are a big NO NO!! (as per the post above me)-something in them that is toxic-please read the health section- I switch up treats alot so she doesn't get bored. Generally, it's Cherrios, Carrots, Yorkie Yummies (from "Chattiesmom"), Bully Sticks, and some penut butter treats.
