How about this-- I am watching the view as we speak and Courtney Thorn Smith is on. She is talking about how her dogs ARE her CHILDREN!!!! and people need to realize that they aren't just pets, they are MEMBERS of the family!!! I love that comment!!! I thought that was soooo cute. Well she was also sayong how much pampering your pet is what is "IN" right now and more and more people are doing that!! And for those who may never have children, well they are having puppy showers, because they are thier children. And more and more people are doing that now!!!!! I thought that was cute too!! I love that idea!!! Puppy Showers!!! How fun would that be????

When I adopted Duke, the ladies at work threw a "puppy shower" for me, and it was great! It was just like a baby shower, only I received puppy gifts!

Duke came into work with me a few days later so that he could give everyone kisses and personally thank them for their very generous gifts.

Since I had been waiting for Coco for SOOOOOOOO long, my friends threw me a puppy shower at my house, 2 days before her arrival, with cake, food, presents and all. It was great and it helped me with a lot of her starter stuff.

I think that is wonderful.. Maybe even Petco, Petsmart, etc. could set up one of those Shower Gift Registy like you see in larger department stores. This way a puppy wouldn't get 50 stuffed bears.

That is such a cute idea. I could have used a Yorkie shower myself. Still trying to get her everthing she needs. If any of my friends are getting new puppies, now I'll have a good idea to use. Thanks

This is such a great idea...the registry to a petstore would be sooo key...i will have to keep this in mind if any of my friends decide to get a puppy...
