| Yorkie REALLY MAD at his own reflection!! I have a 9 month old Yorkie named Weebs. He's such a great dog..but I have encountered one problem in the past few days that I have never had. He gets really mad at his own reflection! I MEAN REALLY MAD!! I was sitting with him up on my shoulder, and he was looking out the bay window in the room. He started growling really deep, and looking out the window. At first I thought he saw something, but then realized he saw himself. He got down, started barking furiously, and tried scratching through the wall to get outside!!!!!! I found out when I was on vacation, he did the same thing to my parents (it's actually my mom's dog) when she left the window blinds open. He scratched a hole in the wall!! Is there any way to stop this? I don't want him scratching through walls, getting hurt, or anything else. |

Bella Boo & Diggy Too! Donating GS Member | lol i agree....I have sat a framed mirror on the floor against the wall in my hall way so I can see it all the time. he walks by that thing with hair on end growling ...sometimes he runs past it really fast, sometimes he stops and confronts that yorkie. Im not sure how to get him used to his reflection I thought this was a start. When he starts his crap with himself I call him Cybil.

| I don't know what to tell you. I guess he'll have to make friends with his reflection.

| LOL...Our male, Harley, barks and growls at his reflection in the sliding glass doors in the evening, and refuses to use the doggie door at night. My hubby kiddingly says he needs night therapy. It is to funny to watch him though...my females sit on the sofa and stare at him as well.

| I had to laugh at this. My TEAPOT Yorkie Ladybug is so funny after she is groomed. I have mirrored closet doors and She was sleeping in front of them. She woke up and saw herself and would not stop barking at her image. I wanna know how she knew what she looked like before being groomed! lol

| Lola used to do this too...she'd watch that puppy (her reflection) and growl and then just as she was sure that mean, but very cute, puppy was about to pounce, she'd pounce first. It was quite a sight, she'd kick her little back legs and bark so loudly it would make her whole 2 pound frame jump backwards. Her brother Tino thought she was nuts! We teased with her and would say she had a stalker..."Single black and tan Yorkie"...trying to look and act just like her. She has since outgrown it, but it was funny while it lasted!

| I know it took my 1 year old a while to quit barking at the "doggie in the mirror", lol. She did finally get over it. I'm sure yours will get used to the reflection in the window, like mine did the reflection in mirror. Just takes some time. |

| My puppy cuddles LOVES her reflection in fact, If there's a long stand up mirror on the floor she'll go up to it and start standing, kind of like she's playing around with her reflection. It's super adorable. One time i saw her sitting in front of the mirror looking at her self lolx. |
