| My puppies ears change every day My puppy had floppy ears when I first got him. Then one day, overnight, they had started standing up straight. Now one is standing and the other one is floppy again. Is this normal? |

| Yes very normal. A yorkie puppy's ears usually start standing anywhere between 6-14 weeks and then go up and down with teething. Lacy's ears went up at about 13 weeks and then one ear kept going floppy for a couple weeks and then finally stayed up. You might want to shave the hair off the top 1/3 of the ear (called tipping the ears) to help them stand easier

I'm not sure about the shaving though. I'm afraid I might cut him. Did you shave yours? Will the ears still stand eventually if I don't shave them? | |

| I had a groomer shave the tips for me. They should still stand even with the hair on them, but sometimes the hair can weigh them down some.

| Yes it's normal. I would keep them shaved to help them stand up.
